Jazz Light

Max Brüel, 1962

With a sense of proportion, Brüel has created a design that can be combined in different heights to form a simple and elegant tableau, with or without candles. The slender candlestick has a fascinating silhouette that commends greetings to the designer's international music career with a mouth and bottom that resembles the shape of the trumpet.

The 1950s and 60s have had a distinctive influence on modern decor for several seasons. Not least in Scandinavia, where the Mid-Century Modern style blends Bauhaus's references and organic feelings - exactly as is the case with Jazz. Here, the curved brass top and bottom give softness and character to the ultra-simple functional design, which became a must-have in the modern home up through the 1960s and 70's.

Max Brüel's unique design also distinguishes itself with its playful approach to the candle. True to the original feature, the Jazz Light is designed with interchangeable stems, so the Jazz Light can get the height that fits the desired decor. The timeless design is launched in two variants - solid brass as in the 60s and a new black lacquered version. Each Jazz Light comes with a top, a bottom and rods in three lengths, allowing Jazz Light to be either 10,5 cm, 15 cm or 28,5 cm high.
