The following Terms and Conditions concern the sale of products on karakter-copenhagen.com owned and run by Karakter ApS, Gl. Lundtoftevej 1C, 2800 Kongens Lyngby, Denmark - VAT no. 3821501
We recommend that you read the terms and conditions closely before shopping. Rights to cancellation applies only for private consumers purchasing on karakter-copenhagen.com. Requests for information should be made to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on +45 38 41 41 31.
We process all web orders from Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 14:00 CET. Orders placed outside this time frame will be processed the following working day.
You are responsible for submitting valid customer information when placing your order. We are not liable for any delays in processing or delivery related (directly or indirectly) to incorrect customer information.
Moments after you have placed your order, you’ll receive an order receipt from us by email. Please note that this order receipt is not a valid order confirmation, but in fact just a confirmation that we’ve received your order. Karakter Customer Service will review and confirm your order and send you the final order confirmation by email. Please note that stock status and lead time shown on each product are estimated - the final stock status is shown on your order confirmation.
Products and prices
Prices are shown in either DKK, EUR and USD depending on your location. Within the EU, all prices include 25% VAT – outside the EU no VAT will be applied. Please note that, depending on your location, local customs, fees and taxes may be applied to your order upon delivery. These expenses shall be covered by you and are not included in the displayed prices.
We accept the following debet/credit cards: Dankort / VisaDankort, MasterCard, JCB and UnionPay.
The amount is reserved on your chosen payment method when you place your order. We withdraw the amount when the products are dispatched from our warehouse. No credit card fees will be charged. Your invoice will be sent by email immediately after the dispatch of your order.
Dependent on the product composition of your order, products will be delivered either by courier or by normal carrier. We aim to deliver your order as quickly as possible. The delivery time will vary depending on your location. Products on stock will be dispatched from our warehouse either the same day you placed your order or the following working day. In case of any processing or dispatch delays, Karakter Customer Service will contact you.
It is your responsibility that your delivery can be received. Therefore, we recommend that you have your order delivered to your workplace, if possible. All deliveries require a person of legal age is present. The person (if not you) must have your power of attorney to sign for receipt of the delivery. It is important that you check the delivery to make sure you have received the products ordered and that there are no visible damages. If everything is as expected the carrier will ask you to sign for the receipt.
In case the packaging is damaged or have other visible indications of defects, remember to sign for receipt with reservations of potential damages of the products or refrain from receiving the delivery and ask the carrier to return the delivery to us.
If a product is damaged or defect after unpacking, please contact us within 5 days of receipt of delivery. If you contact us later than 5 days after receipt of delivery, we cannot guarantee that the forwarders insurance will cover the delivery defects.
You can cancel your order within 14 days after you have received your order. The cancellation deadline is 14 days after the day you or another person chosen by you (except the courier or carrier) is in physical possession of the products ordered.
If you have ordered several products and we are unable to deliver all products at the same time, the cancellation deadline is 14 days after you or another person chosen by you (except the courier or carrier) is in physical possession of the last remaining product ordered. If the deadline of cancellation is on a bank holiday, the deadline of cancellation is extended to the following working day. You cannot cancel you order by refusing receipt of the delivery without notifying us about your cancellation.
Please notify us about your cancellation by sending an email to us.
Returns and refunds
If you regret your purchase, you have to get in touch with us no later than 14 days after receipt of the delivery. The product(s) need to be returned to our warehouse, which might vary depending on your location. Products have to be in our possession no later than 14 days after you have notified about your cancellation. You pay for delivery expenses related to the return of the product(s). Products have to be returned in the same amount and conditions as they were delivered to you – this includes all original and undamaged packaging.
If you cancel your order we will refund all payments received from you including delivery costs if any. We refund the amount without any unnecessary delay no later than 14 days from the day we receive the product(s) from you. The refund will be paid back to the credit card (or method of payment) used to pay for the order unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise. We will not charge any fees as a result of the refund.
You are personally liable for a possible reduction of the value of the product if you mishandle the product to determine the product’s type, features and the way it works. You are allowed to study the product in the same way as you can and are allowed to in a physical store, but you are not allowed to start using the product. If you have used the product in a way which it not possible or not allowed in a physical store, we reserve the right to deduct the decrease in value when we refund the amount. We will not refund the amount if the product no longer has a commercial value.
Please make sure that the product is securely packed when you return the product. The return of the product is at your own risk until we have received the returned product. Remember to keep the delivery receipt and track and trace number if available.
We make certain reservations to wrong prices, typing errors, sold-out products and force majeure including failure in delivery from our suppliers. Certain products may be available exclusively online through the website. These products may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address and time zone. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
How do we use your personal information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to communicate with you and to screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Sharing your information
We share your Device Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Do not track
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
